Operational greenhouse gas emissions (material facilities and fuels)

AGL Loy Yang emissions decreased in FY26, driven by decreased generation from Loy Yang A Power Station, as well as decreased emissions intensity of generation. Bayswater Power Station emissions slightly decreased in FY26, driven by a slight decrease in generation volume and decreased emissions intensity of generation.

Notes

Data includes Scope 1 emissions for material fuels and Scope 2 emissions. Macquarie Shared Services emissions are apportioned to Bayswater and Liddell power stations in FY22 and part of FY23. Following the closure of Liddell Power Station during FY23, these emissions are accounted for within the Bayswater Power Station facility.

AGL Loy Yang includes emissions associated with the Loy Yang A Power Station and the Loy Yang Mine.

Greenhouse gas emissions have been calculated in accordance with the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER) Scheme.

Figures have been rounded to the nearest ktCO2e.
