Energy sold
Consumer electricity sales volumes were 14,757 GWh, up 81 GWh or 0.6%, driven by increased solar volumes and higher average services across the year. Consumer gas sales volumes were 45.7 PJ, up 0.2 PJ or 0.4%, driven by higher average demand resulting from colder weather. Large business customer, wholesale and generation gas sales volumes were 50.3 PJ, down 5.0 PJ or 9.0%, reflecting lower demand across large business, wholesale and generation customers. Wholesale customer electricity sales volumes were 13,223 GWh, up 219 GWh or 1.7%, driven by higher consumption from AGL’s wholesale customer base, including sales volumes for contracts with ActewAGL and the Portland and Tomago aluminium smelters.
