Turnover
Total employee turnover increased during FY26, with the turnover rate rising from 13.2% to 16.8%. Voluntary attrition remained stable at 9.8%. Recruitment activity declined during the year, resulting in a significant reduction in new hires. While the number of female hires decreased, women represented a larger proportion of total hires compared with FY25.

In recognition of our employee demographic including gender diverse people within the workforce, our data systems allow employees to record their gender as male, female, another option or prefer not to answer. The FY26 data does not include two new hires and 11 employees who have left the business who have indicated that they identify outside the gender binary to protect their privacy. |
Data does not include 18 Southern Phone Company employees or 14 Ovo Energy Australia employees, as the payroll data systems used by these businesses is not fully integrated with AGL’s systems. Accordingly comparable data is not readily available. |
